CDA Will Soon Launch Residential Plots in Sector C-14

Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has confirmed the public sale of residential sites in Sector C-14.

Following the receipt of applications, Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the chairman of the CDA, announced the availability of one kanal property through a ballot system.

Previously, individuals affected by land-sharing agreements within the industry received nearly one-fourth of the available plots.

The CDA has also imposed development fees on allotted properties in Sector C-14 and other residential areas. Muhammad Ali Randhawa also mandated the completion of the final stages of construction in Sector I-12 within four months.

Islamabad: Following a recent meeting by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the Capital Development Authority is poised to enact significant modifications to its fee system for building control activities.

The information indicates that the CDA Building Control Directorate has chosen to raise several building control-related fees for the fiscal year 2023–2024. These consist of setback costs, fines for unpermitted construction activities, and scrutiny fees, among other things.

CDA Starts Shahdara, Chiniot Dam Projects to Resolve Water Crisis

Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced plans to build two tiny dams, Shahdara and Chiniot, to help alleviate the city’s water crisis.

Details indicate an additional 8 million gallons per day (mgd) of water will be supplied to Islamabad from Simly Dam starting Thursday.

Islamabad needs 120 mgd of water out of a total requirement of about 250 mgd. The CDA receives roughly 70 mgd from tubewells, Khanpur Dam, and Simly Dam.

To permanently address the water problem, CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa has ordered quick activity on the Shahdara, Tarbela, Chiniot, and Khanpur dams. The Shahdara Dam will be on the Shahdara stream, while the Chiniot Dam will be in the Simly Dam catchment region.

The CDA also intends to begin construction on the Ghazi Brotha project and the Khanpur Dam. The CDA Chairman voiced his dissatisfaction and gave the order to present a plan to WAPDA and other institutions to remedy the theft.
