The additional information explains that the FBR constituted a specialized committee made up of eight individuals divided into three teams. By October 31st, the first group, led by Sher Salim Tariq, Dr. Nasir Khan, and Aamir Amin Bhatti, would concentrate on developing and implementing a single site sales tax return filing system for the telecom industry. Under the direction of Zainul Abidin Sahi, the committee will expand this system to cover all industries by May 31, 2024, in the second phase. The government’s efforts to assist taxpayers, particularly those who missed the initial September 30 deadline, prompted this action.

The deadline has been extended till October 31 in order to accommodate these people. With this extension, taxpayers will have more time to complete their tasks and avoid penalties or other repercussions.
