New Peshawar Valley Project: KP CM orders site office

News sources said that Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mehmood Khan told the right people on Thursday (July 21) to set up a temporary site office for the New Peshawar Valley Project. The office will be used to send security staff to the site of the project.

The orders were given at a high-level meeting called to check on the project’s progress. Khan ordered that a permanent site office be built as soon as possible during the meeting to ensure the project was finished on time. At the meeting, it was said that the responsible authority would find land to set up a permanent site office in the next few days. Sources also said that the New Peshawar Valley Project’s Project Concept-1 (PC-1) has already been made.

CM Mehmood also asked the departments involved to let landowners know about the project by July 25 so that it could be done on time. In response, the government representatives said that the landowners would soon get letters informing them of the land-sharing plan. The government is said to have already confirmed that it will buy 13,898 Kanals of land for the project.

The meeting also talked about the security, sanitation, and planting of the Hayatabad Phase V project. In addition, the minister told the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) to finish the preliminary work of putting up fences and gates to protect the safety of the residents.
