PDWP authorised funding for 21 development projects

On August 25, news sources said that the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) gave money for 21 development projects all over Punjab.

At the 5th meeting of the PDWP, the Chairman of the Planning and Development Board, Abdullah Khan Sumbal, gave the go-ahead for the development projects. During the meeting, the following projects were given the green light:

PKR 412.43 million to fix up the 7.90-kilometer road from Mari Qasim Shah to Dera Bakha (Northern Bypass) in Bahawalpur district.
PKR 475,9,000,000 to fix up the 4.8-kilometer road from N-5 Ahmedpur East Road to the old bypass in the district of Bahawalpur.
PKR The 21-kilometer road from Qaimpur to Head Islam Tehsil Hasilpur in the district of Bahawalpur will be fixed up with 1.165 billion.
PKR From Rahim Yar Khan (Noor-e-Wali Railway Crossing) to Sadiq Abad, which is 20.25 kilometres long, 1.006 billion has been set aside to fix up the road (Fire Brigade Office Chowk)
The 19-kilometer road from Khanpur to Nawankot via Azim Shahdistrict Rahim Yar Khan will be fixed up with PKR 983.751 million.

For the repair of the 11.25-kilometer-long Shahi Road from Feroza to Khanpur district Rahim Yar Khan, PKR 598.5 million has been set aside.
Rangpur Chowk Munda Road, which is 32 kilometres long and is in the district of Muzaffargarh, has been given PKR 1.39 billion to repair and improve it.
A budget of PKR 1.665 billion has been set aside to build a two-lane road from the M-3 Motorway Samundri Interchange to the city of Samundri.
Faisalabad-Satiana Road from By-Pass to Tandlianwala (Phase-I: Km No.13.93 to 34.54, Length = 20.61 Km, District Faisalabad) will be fixed up with PKR 572 million (Revised)

PDWP approves three development projects totaling Rs25.85 billion. The Punjab Finance Department has released a total of Rs47 billion to complete 3605 development projects under the District Development Program for the fiscal year 2021-2022, which will be completed by the end of the year.

According to Punjab’s Finance Department, the funding has been made available to ensure equitable development in the province’s districts under the banner of a balanced district development strategy, which has been implemented since 2011. While commenting on the issuance of the grant, Punjab Finance Minister stated that it would enable the social participation of the people in the entire process, thereby ensuring that less developed areas got an equal share in the development process. The PDWP has released a total of Rs47 billion to complete 3605 development projects under the District Development Program for the fiscal year 2021-2022, which will be completed by the end of the year.
