CDA provides information on forthcoming developments in Islamabad

A news source reported on June 27 that the Capital Development Authority (CDA) of Islamabad has released a new schedule of upcoming construction projects. According to a tweet by CDA Chairman Noorul Amin Mengal, the government has invited proposals for these initiatives.

Road rehabilitation, road widening, and street paving initiatives dominate the roster of projects. The CDA’s new road initiatives are described as follows:

  • Road upgrade/improvement from Talhar to Kingrian Village, U.C. Saidpur, Islamabad
  • Reconstruction of Pind Parian Road between Benazir Chowk and Pind Parian
  • Internal road rehabilitation in U.C. Jhangi Syedan
  • Rehabilitation of Sarai Kharbooza Road between Niazi Chowk and Qilla, as well as internal roads in U.C.
  • Construction of RCC Nullah at Khayam Town Construction of retaining wall in conjunction with Nullah at Golra Sharif Street pavements in villages of U.C. Thalla Syedan, Jhangi Syedan, Bhadana Kalan, and Sheikhpur Street pavements in villages of U.C. Shah Allah Ditta, Dhrek Mohra, and Mera Jaffar

Development of sanitation and street pavements in UC Said Pur (UC-I), UC Noor Pur Shahan (UC-4 & UC-5) Development of sanitation and street pavements in UC Malpur (UC-6), UC Kot Hathial North (UC-7, UC-8 & UC-9) UC-16) Development of sanitation and roadways in Pind Bhagwal, Kuri, Tumair, Herno Thanda Pani, Chirah, and Kirpa
Improvements to sanitation and road surfaces in Bhimber Trar, Mughal, Rawat, Hummak, Sihala, Mohra, Nagmal, and Lohibiher
Improvements to sanitation and road surfaces in Gagri, Kural, Gangal, Kanna Dak-l, Tarlai Khurd, and Gohra Sardar.
Development of sanitation and street pavements in Tarlai Kalan, Khadarapar, Alipur, Panjgran, Farash, Mohrian Tamma, and Chatha Bakhtawar
Development of sanitation and road surfaces in Lakhwal, Khana Dak-2, Khanna Kak, Khanna Dak-3, Shakerial Sharki, and Sakhana.

CDA’s environment division is carefully selecting plant specimens for the Bhara Kahu bypass reforestation endeavour, in addition to its new road construction projects. It intends to plant 50,000 trees, contributing to the area’s restoration of vegetation.
