CM Elahi introduces the SIEN project to link Sutlej and Sindh
Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Pervaiz Elahi said on December 20 that the Sutlej Indus Economic Network (SIEN), which will cost PKR 160 billion and connect Sutlej to Sindh, will be the largest development project ever.

The SIEN has been approved for Okara, Vehari, Lodhran, Kasur, Pakpattan, and Bahawalpur, according to the details. GT roads, motorways, and the Indus Highway will connect the districts. CM Elahi spoke at the event and said that investors, traders, industrialists, and farmers are about to start a new chapter of growth and prosperity.
The news source said that a plan has been made to connect the motorway to different cities, which will be done in different stages. The Kasur Bypass to Lahore Ring Road G-1 SIEN Corridor will be finished in the first phase. This will cost a total of PKR 15 billion. The plan also calls for connecting 7 rural districts of Punjab to the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway (M-2), the Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Motorway (M-3), the Bhattian-Multan Motorway (M-4), the Multan-Sukkur Motorway (M-5), and the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway (M-11).
Also, the SIEN will make it easier to get to 49% of commodity-producing markets by road. Along with boosting business in the small towns, it was said that industrial units making agricultural, food, and metal products will also be pushed in the districts.
The North-South Corridor will connect Depalpur, Pakpattan, Vehari, Head Sulemanki Minchinabad, Multan Road, Bahawalnagar Road, and Bahawalpur, according to the Chief Minister of Punjab, Elahi. Changara East Interchange will be linked up to Bahawalpur, it was said (N-5). Details show that Vehari, Chichhwatani, and Burewala will connect Hasilpur to the Rajana Motorway M-3. It was said that the lunk from Chishtian to Burewala and the lunk from Sahiwal to Samundri will be built.
Also, the chief minister said that the M-3 Motorway will go through Arifwala and connect Bahawalnagar to Sahiwal. From Minchinabad to Sahiwal, the SIEN Corridor will be built. It will go through Pakpattan. He went on to say that Pattoki will connect Allahabad to the Jaranwala Interchange M-3 Motorway. Halla, and Chinian. Also, Raiwind Road Ring Road will be linked to Sharqpur Interchange M-3 Interchange.
