CM Elahi preside over LDA governing body meeting; master plan approved

On December 22, news sources said that Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi had signed off on the Lahore Master Plan 2050.

At the 8th meeting of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), which was led by CM Pervaiz Elahi, the approval was given. CM Elahi said at the time that the main goal of the Lahore Master Plan 2050 is to keep farmland for future use. Part of the plan to keep a balance between cities and farms is to use sustainable policy measures, and it was decided to increase the green land area from 7% to 20%. The meeting also talked about how the projects in the Central Business District are coming along and how they are changing (CBD).

In the Master Plan 2050, the meeting agreed on ways to improve tourism, the environment, and urban facilities. It was also okayed to renew a deal with the Choueifat School and give people who lost their plots in Mustafa Town new ones.
