Dual road Multan-Vehari construction granted approval

A news source said on January 16 that Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Pervaiz Elahi permitted the Multan-Vehari dual road project to be built.

At the 12th meeting of the Public-Private Partnership and Monitoring Board, CM Elahi was in charge. During the meeting, the CM told everyone that in the first phase, a dual road would be built from Multan to Tibba Sultanpur that is 39 kilometres long. It will be built through a partnership between the government and the private sector, which should be done in about a year. In the second phase, a road will be built from Tibba Sultanpur to Vehari, which is 47 kilometres long. The road from Tibba Sultanpur to Vehari will be built by the Communication and Works (C&W) department.

The meeting also agreed to build the Faisalabad-Chiniot-Sargodha dual road, which will be finished in two stages through a partnership between the public and private sectors. The news source said the Faisalabad to Chiniot dual road project would be built in its first phase. The road from Chiniot to Sargodha will be finished in the second phase.
