Shared information on Multan’s under-construction road and flyover

Multan: According to news reports on September 2, the Punjab government has disclosed information on the roads and flyovers that are currently being built in Multan.

Executive Engineer Highways stated that 50 new roads and flyovers are being built in the city for a total cost of PKR 22 billion. According to the information, a two-way road between Syedanwala Bypass Bosan Road and Chenab River Bank road is being built for a total of PKR 1 billion. After the project is finished, the Bosan Road to Head Muhammad Wala Road will be 80 feet wider, and the distance between Multan and Bhakkar, Layyah, and Taunsa Sharif would be shorter.

Additionally, a highway between Sher Shah and Nishtar-II Shujaabad Road is being built at a cost of PKR 560 million. The distance between DG Khan and the Motorway Interchange will be shortened. The Nadirabad flyover in Muzaffarabad is being built, according to a PKR 2.80 billion estimate. According to information, piling work is now being done, and project completion is targeted for 2024.

A similar 21-kilometer, two-way road that runs from the fertiliser factory to Matti Tal Road is being built at a cost of PKR 2.50 billion. It was disclosed that the road leading to Women’s University had been built to completion. The PKR 2.50 billion highway project from Shujaabad to Jalapur Pirwala has been approved, and a tender will shortly be posted for it. According to information made public, PKR 1.20 billion was used to build the Tughluq Town flyover in Multan.
