Officials from the CDA said that the project will be done in two parts. The first phase goes from GT Road Sangjani to D-12, and the second phase is the Bhara Kahu bypass. Officials from the CDA say that 70 percent of the work on the first phase of the project is done and that it is moving along well. Work on the Bhara Kahu bypass is going to start soon, it was said. The CDA engineering wing said that the Army’s E&C branch had already finished the engineering design and alignment of the bypass. The Frontier Works Organisation is reviewing the draught of PC-1, which the city managers are waiting for (FWO).

When the CDA gets the PC-1 from the FWO, it will send it to the Development Working Party for final approval (DWP). As soon as the PC-1 is approved, work will begin on building the bypass. The Pakistan Environment Protection Agency has received the draught report on the Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) (EPA). The 7.8-kilometer bypass was supposedly built so that people going to Galyat, Kashmir, and Murree could take a different route. The proposed bypass will start in the Malpur area and end near Satra Meel on Murree Road, according to the details.
