COAS Bajwa went to Swat to meet people who were hurt by the recent flood and see how bad the damage was. He said that the damage in Sindh was very bad and urged the government to use the international help that was available to deal with the problems caused by the monsoon.

From Kalam to Kanju in Swat, army aviation helicopters saved people who had been caught in the flood, including women and children. The people who were moved thanked the army for their help and work. COAS also looked at the work that army troops were doing to help people in places like Khwazakhela, Bahrain, Kalam, and Matta in Swat. He also praised the Peshawar Corps for responding quickly and saving many lives.

The COAS reportedly said that the National Flood Response Centre will work like the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). The centre will coordinate the efforts to help the affected people get better.
