Government to Build Olympic Village in Islamabad

Islamabad: According to the most recent reports, the government has decided to construct a 1200 Kanal Olympic village at the base of Islamabad’s Margalla Hills. This initiative seeks to promote the country’s sports facilities. It is essential to note that the construction of the Olympic Village is anticipated to cost approximately 3 billion rupees.

During the event, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif instructed the authorities to “establish a corporate structure that must be supervised by the relevant experts” in order to construct the Olympic Village. According to the prime minister, the majority of Pakistan’s population consists of adolescents. Therefore, young people can use their energy productively by engaging in sports.

PM recalled the government’s momentous efforts to promote sports throughout the nation, including the establishment of the nation’s first sports university in Islamabad and the launch of a national sports program.
