Green Pakistan Initiative will generate $50 billion over the next five years

The Green Pakistan Initiative, it was announced on July 11 by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, is estimated to bring in USD 30–50 billion in investment over the next four to five years.

At a conference on agriculture and food security in Islamabad, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed optimism about the country’s agricultural sector bouncing back within two years. He stressed the importance of working together between the government and key institutions to launch a second agricultural revolution in Pakistan.

The PM said that Gulf countries are willing to invest in the Green Pakistan Initiative, which seeks to increase agricultural output by implementing cutting-edge technologies. It is estimated that four million individuals will find employment thanks to this program.

To combat poverty, the Green Pakistan Initiative is emphasizing the use of cutting-edge technologies, encouraging partnerships between the public and commercial sectors, and channeling the advantages to local farmers. The comprehensive strategy has been praised by both specialists and farmers.
