Gwadar International Airport, will open next year in 2023

News sources said on July 18 that the New Gwadar International Airport, which is being built with a total of USD 246 million, will be ready for both domestic and international flights next year, in September 2023.

According to the details, the International Airport will cover over 4,300 acres of land, making it Pakistan’s biggest airport. The source said the work on building the airport was in different stages. Work on air traffic control will be done by March 2023. Work on the passenger terminal building should be done by June 2023, and the whole airport should be finished by September 2023.

Also, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) will run and manage the New Gwadar International Airport, which will be possessed by a joint venture between China, Pakistan, and Oman. It was said that this airport would be the second one that could handle A389 planes. The airport will help China and Pakistan do more business with each other and help the Gwadar peninsula grow. It will run according to the open sky policy, with help from the CAA.
