Gwadar port to be developed as one of the best in the world: PM Shehbaz

At a ceremony at the China-Pakistan Expo Centre, PM Shehbaz said the ongoing development operation across Baluchistan would transform the fate of its people, notably Gwadar.

Gwadar saw power, infrastructure, and other improvements under PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif. He stated the PTI had abandoned all these projects.

In the last 15 hard months, the coalition government laid the foundation of growth and prosperity in the country, especially in Baluchistan, PM Shehbaz stated.

He noted Baluchistan’s mineral and natural resource wealth. He promised clean drinking water, health, education, and jobs for inhabitants as the province developed.

PM Shehbaz said the Gwadar port draught was one of the deepest in the world, but the previous government failed to assure continual dredging to minimize silt buildup.

He stated we’ve started dredging, which will finish in February.

The prime minister also said that Baluchistan’s laptop quota had been boosted to 14% despite the province’s 6% population share and instructed authorities to raise it to 18% for the following fiscal year.

PM Shehbaz said today’s rollover of China’s $2.4 billion loan had averted Pakistan’s default risk due to brotherly assistance from China, Saudi Arabia, and UAE.

He underlined that friendly countries’ support was “unconditional”.

The premier ordered provincial agencies to prioritize foreigner security.
