Captain (ret.) Muhammad Khurram Agha, Federal Secretary of Communications and Chairman of the National Highway Authority (NHA), has taken proactive measures to restore traffic on roads in Baluchistan damaged by recent torrential rains and floods.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, he ordered the expeditious restoration of traffic on the affected road segments and zthe need for close coordination with provincial and local authorities to address the difficult conditions in the province.
In response to the circumstance, the NHA chairman, at the request of Federal Minister for Communications Asad Mehmood, conducted a comprehensive assessment of the condition of the motorways and national highways in Balochistan that were affected by the heavy rainfall and subsequent flooding.
During the visit, NHA officials based in Quetta briefed Captain (retired) Muhammad Khurram Agha on the areas most severely impacted by the floods, including Pinjar Bridge, Hub Bridge, Wangu, Qila Saifullah, and Khuzdar.
The construction of Hub Bridge was temporarily halted to enable for the safe discharge of floodwaters.
