The wider IJP Road will be finished by March 23 according to the CDA Chairman, who announced the news on his official Twitter account. As a result, there will be less traffic jams and better traffic between Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Importantly, the National Logistics Cell (NLC) received the project after placing the lowest proposal, and it was opened in October 2021. The project was initially slated to be finished in April 2023, in accordance with Project Concept-1 (PC-1). Nonetheless, Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif directed an acceleration of the development activity.

It is significant to note that the government is investing heavily in the capital city’s road infrastructure. The three most significant connectivity projects in the city, 9th Avenue, Bhara Kahu flyover, and IJP road, have all been officially launched by the government.
