LDA considers commercializing additional plots in Gulberg
On October 19, news sources said that the Town Planning Wing of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) wants to change the status of the last few residential plots in Gulberg to commercial.

People already only talk about this area as the city’s main business and commercial center. Plans are in the works to make Gulberg the official business and corporate center of the city by building things like the Central Business District.
Sources within the LDA say that the authority will study traffic and do other research to make sure that this expansion will work. It is said that the results of these studies will be used to make the final decision about reclassifying residential plots.
It’s important to note that work is already being done to make the entire Gulberg Main Boulevard free of traffic lights. This is part of the plan to make the Central Business District easy to get to without traffic lights.
