RDA seeks proposals for Peri-urban Plan of Kalar Syedan, Taxila, Kahuta
On July 10, a news outlet stated that the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) had issued a request for proposals and comments for the Peri-Urban plan for the tehsils of Kalar Syedan, Kahuta, and Taxila, all of which are located inside the Rawalpindi district.

Rawalpindi Development Authority Director General Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa presided over a meeting to finalize the Peri-Urban Structure Plan and the Side Development Zone. In regards to the peri-urban plan for the three tehsils, he emphasised the necessity of public concerns and recommendations.
Mott Macdonald Pakistan Company, the contracted consultant, gave a detailed presentation on their plans for the Peri-Urban Structure at the meeting. Peri-Urban Structure Plan participants learned about the recently established city limits and the restrictions that come with them.
And within the following week, people can send their concerns and ideas to the RDA’s Director of Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE), Muhammad Tahir Meo. All suggestions will be taken under consideration for possible inclusion in the plan.
