Nation-wide e-tolling system on cards for motorways, highways

According to reports published in national newspapers on July 4, Islamabad’s Minister of Communications Asad Mehmood stated that the government has taken the initiative to implement an e-tolling system on motorways and highways across the country.

According to the specifics, this step aims to modernize the toll collection procedure and ensure efficient traffic flow management. Minister of Communications Mehmood announced the government’s intention to construct new facilities in Dera Ismail Khan, Mianwali, and Rawalpindi, including service areas, lodging accommodations, and food centers along the Yarik-Akla Motorway (M-14).

 

The minister emphasized that these facilities are intended to serve the requirements of the respective regions, promote their growth, and improve the driving experience for motorists.
