The land was bought from the people who lived there for a total of PKR 1.32 billion. It is said that PKR 280 million has been given to the district administration by the Ministry of Finance. Also, the Gujarat Assistant Commissioner (AC) Khizar Hayat Bhatti and officials from the local land revenue department took possession of the property on behalf of the PSIC. After the land is taken over, the local government will start building boundary walls, sewerage lines, and other civil work in coordination with the PSIC. When the project is done, it will be home to a lot of small businesses, like those that make electric fans and work with metal. It’s important to note that the land was approved for PSIC in 2019, but getting it took longer than expected because of paperwork.
