According to the official Twitter account of the spokesperson, the stormwater conduit in Karachi will facilitate the drainage of water from Katti Pahari through KDA Chowrangi and into Gujjar Nullah. The announcement is made as the monsoon season is about to commence in Karachi, causing widespread inundation throughout the city.

It was announced that the construction of the stormwater drain is intended to mitigate the effects of torrential downpours and reduce flooding in the affected areas. This drain is viewed as a positive step towards the advancement of the city’s infrastructure and water management in the face of natural disasters.
