Minister Murad also said that business zones or economic routes are important for boosting business and commerce in small towns. The minister said that this will help local people get jobs.

Umm Laila Naqvi, the project director for the Local Government Department, said that master plans were being made for Sialkot, Okara, Khanewal, Rahim Yar Kha, Muzaffargarh, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Kha, Sahiwal, and Vehari. She then said that Land Use Classification Maps had been made for 11 areas and sent to the Deputy Commissioners for approval. Once it is accepted, plans for how to use the land will be made.
