June 6 news reports that the federal government has informed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) that it will receive PKR 1.4 billion for the 10th Avenue project. The government will provide funding by the end of the year to resume construction on 10th Avenue.

According to the specifications, construction on this project began in March 2022 and was scheduled to be completed in March 2024. Nevertheless, construction was halted earlier this year with only 15% of the work completed in 14 months. As an initiative funded by the federal government, the CDA is responsible for its execution.
Before the end of the current fiscal year, the Interior Ministry informed the municipal agency that PKR 1,400,000,000 would be allocated to the 10th Avenue initiative. In addition, the government has decided to allocate 400 million PKR under the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) for the initiative in the upcoming fiscal year.
