Projects to build the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Business & Industrial Cooperation Tower and change the Karakoram Highway (KKH) from Thakot to Raikot have been approved by the Cabinet Committee on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, which meets every three months (CCoCPEC).

Sources say that CCoCPEC was led by Minister of Planning Development & Special Measures Asad Umar and attended by the Minister of Economic Affairs, Omar Ayub Khan, Khalid Mansoor, Sheikh Rashid, Shaukat Tarin, and other people who were important to the project.
