Mohammad Saif Anwar Jappa, the head of the RDA, gave the order to start the operation. He said that all illegal groups that were cheating people should be shut down. Sources at the RDA say that the authority has done something about schemes that broke the Punjab Private Housing Scheme Rules 2021. With help from the local police stations, the RDA teams in Rawalpindi tore down the booking offices of three illegal private housing schemes on Thatha Gorakhpur Road and two illegal subdivisions on Tarahia Gorakhpur Road.

The government also filed the first information reports (FIRs) against all of the housing schemes’ owners. It is important to know that the Lahore High Court (LHC) has told all housing development schemes in Punjab to launch operations against all illegal housing schemes and make sure every scheme has a QR code.
