Sindh Govt Approved PKR 8.5B for Coastal Highway Phase-II

According to the most recent reports, the Sindh government has approved the allocation of approximately PKR 8.5 billion for Phase II of the Coastal Highway Project. The purpose of the project is to assist in the farming and rehabilitation of the failing fisheries industry in the deltaic region and to ensure that the residents of coastal communities have access to potable water. In addition, the project will extend the 31-kilometer-long Coastal Highway from Buhara to the Keti Bundar villages, reaching the Arabian Sea in the end.

After many delays, Phase 1 of the Coastal Highway Project connects Buhara to Hargenia Salt near Bhanbhore and then to the National Highway. MPA Zardari also stated that the Coastal highway would enable rescuers to respond rapidly to inundation, sea storms, boat capsizes, and other emergencies. The rescued individuals could then be transport to hospitals for life-saving care.

Tourism promotion is an additional advantage of the Coastal Highway. The highway will provide local and international tourists with simple access to the region’s historical and cultural sites.
