The inauguration of the new Punjab Assembly building

Lahore: On January 2, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, the Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, opened the new building of the Punjab Assembly, according to news reports in the national dailies on January 3.

According to the facts, a team from the National College of Arts (NCA) was in charge of building a modern dome. CM Elahi said that the new building, which can hold 500 people, meets the needs for the next 100 years. The Ayes Lobby for 200 people and the Noes Lobby for the same number of people were made. The Speaker’s Chamber, the press, visitors, and officers can all fit in the new building, which has room for up to 800 people. The CM said that the offices for Speakers, the Chief Minister, the Opposition Leader, the Deputy Speaker, and Ministers have been built. The building has three committee rooms, a library, a conference room, a cafeteria, and parking for 400 cars.

Also, the Khatam-e-Nabuwat (PBUH) University Act, Khatam-e-Nabuwat (PBUH) Nazra and translation of Quran, and Muttahida Ulema Board have all been passed. Rescue 1122, which gives free medicine in an emergency, and a law that triples doctors’ salaries have also been passed.
