In April, SECP registers 228 real estate construction firms

Among the 1,760 new firms registered by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) in April 2023, 228 were in the Real Estate & Construction industry, according to a May 11 news story out of Islamabad. The grand sum of active businesses is now 191,924.

In April, businesses raised a total of PKR 2.9 billion in paid-up capital. There were 57% private limited corporations, 41% sole proprietorships, 2% limited liability partnerships, unlisted public companies, and non-profits, according to the data. Ninety-eight people applied from other countries, and 99.8 percent of those people registered online.

According to the report, there are 267 businesses in the IT industry, 228 in the real estate and construction sector, 222 in the trading sector, 194 in the service sector, 68 in the education sector, 62 in the tourism sector, 52 in the textile industry, 42 in the advertising and marketing sector, 36 in the healthcare sector, 33 in the chemical sector, 31 in the pharmaceutical sector, 30 in the power generation sector, 27 in the cosmetics and toiletries sector.
