CDA Initiate Rs 2Bn Project to Transform Margalla Hills

Islamabad: CDA has declared a significant endeavour to augment biodiversity in the Margalla Hills via a PKR 2 billion undertaking.

As delineated in the plan’s specifics, the objective is to propagate ten million trees across the entire 39,000-acre national park.

For funding consideration in the upcoming fiscal year, the project proposal titled “Enhancing Biodiversity and Green Cover through the Management of Natural Resources, Maintenance, and Rehabilitation of the Margalla Hills National Park Landscape” will be presented.

The five-year objective of the initiative is to enhance biodiversity and fauna, alleviate the impacts of climate change, and tackle environmental issues including the reduction of vegetation and water discharge.

Planting indigenous species, employing security personnel, inspecting dams, and constructing water ponds are all crucial strategies.
CDA representatives emphasise the importance of the initiative in enhancing green space and biodiversity, as well as their unwavering dedication to its triumph.

The initiative has received the support of prominent figures such as Qaiser Khattak, Member Environment, Director General Environment, and Anwarul Haq, Chairman of the CDA.

Blue World City Management Announced the Balloting Dates

Islamabad: Blue World City announced the balloting of the blocks that will be valid from 18th March 2024 to 22nd March 2024. The balloting of the blocks to be held on 3oth March 2024 at Blue World City Site. The blocks included in the balloting are General Block, Overseas Block, Sports Valley, Awami and Waterfront Blocks.

After several requests from the investors who are unable to fulfil the payment ballot criteria due to short Ramzan timings. The management of Blue World City has decided to give a final deadline, untill Friday 22nd March, 2024. It will be helpful to investors for ballot qualification and payment submission.

According to the BWC Management, no ballot qualification extension request will be entertained.

CDA to Construct Pakistan’s Largest IT Park in Islamabad

Islamabad: CDA proposes to build the Country’s largest IT Park in the capital.

As specified in the particulars, the IT Park, situated in Sector G-10, will encompass an expansive area of 3.3 acres and prioritise government-private collaboration and strategic planning.

The Park, designed to be a hub for innovation, will accommodate tens of thousands of freelancers, startups, and software houses, thereby cultivating an environment that is conducive to expansion.

The park, spanning an extensive one lakh square feet, will provide contemporary conveniences such as conference facilities, exhibition areas, libraries, and research centres.

Significantly, the construction will be funded by private entities, as organisations lease space to establish their IT offices; this will generate employment opportunities and stimulate economic activity.

The CDA will assume operational control after 15 years, signifying a dedication to sustained investment in the technological infrastructure of Pakistan.

CDA Allocates Government Residences to Employees & Officers

Islamabad: officers and other authority personnel received 157 government apartments in various categories from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) administration.

On the General Waiting List, the houses were issued based on position. Allotment of dwellings, however, was done by voting.

Twenty houses were given in the D group in sectors G-6, G-7, G-8, G-9, G-10, G-11, and F-6. 57 dwellings were granted: eight in the A group, 38 in the B group, 25 in the C category, and 17 in the D category.

At the event, the CDA Chairman declared that management’s first concern would always be the welfare of the workforce.
