CDA has granted sanction for five new bazaars, under which five Sasta Bazaars will be established. It also authorised the building of Bagh-e-Dastoor. A budget of PKR 734 million has been approved for the PC-I for the construction of five new Sasta Bazaars offering affordable culinary items. Within two years, these bazaars will be finished in Tarnol Chowk, Sector H-11, Margalla Town Phase-II, Model Town Hummak, and Sector I-14.

In addition, the PC-I for the development of Bagh-e-Dastoor on Constitution Avenue has been authorised. This park, dedicated to promoting constitutional awareness, will be constructed on 32 kanals at an estimated cost of PKR 81 million. It will feature elegant Pergolas, walkways, seating areas, and canopies with a wooden texture.

The CDA-DWP approved a PC-I of PKR 40 million to conduct a feasibility study for two proposed dams in Shahdara and Chiniot, representing a significant step towards resolving water scarcity in the city. This six-month endeavour will involve an exhaustive investigation of geological factors, hydrology, sedimentation, and socioeconomic factors.

In addition, the CDA-DWP funded a feasibility study in the amount of PKR 19 million to investigate the possibility of recharging groundwater in Islamabad. This study seeks to evaluate the viability of replenishing the city’s groundwater resources.

In order to address waste management issues, the DWP authorised the construction of a permanent Waste Transfer Station close to the I-9/1 Sewage Treatment Plant. This station, with a budget of PKR 532 million, will streamline waste transportation operations and replace the temporary facility that is presently in use.
