Plan requested for completion of 107 road projects in Punjab

According to a July 18 news report, Chief Minister of Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has requested a detailed plan to complete 107 inter-district road projects within three months.

The news source reported that the provincial government intends to build plastic roads throughout the province. Caretaker Prime Minister Naqvi has instructed the authorities to guarantee transparency and high-quality road construction standards. He has ordered that all contracts for road construction in Punjab be awarded via electronic procurement.

In addition, Naqvi noted that 137 road rehabilitation projects encompassing a total of 2,600 kilometers are nearing completion in Punjab. Moreover, during a meeting presided over by CM Naqvi, the implementation of safe city initiatives in the districts of Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala was approved.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of these projects and directed the relevant authorities to take the essential steps to expedite their implementation in the cities listed above.
