The British government built the 64-kilometre-long Monroe hiking trail, but it was no longer used after 1947. But people still use the path to get to Kaghan and Siran Valleys. Mohammad Asim, who lives in the Siran valley, said that locals and people from the surrounding areas use the trail to walk, ride ponies, or ride horses during the summer.

Mudassir Hasan, the Siran Valley Divisional Forest Officer, is in charge of the Monroe trail project. He went on to say that the Environmental Tourism Initiative is being used to fix up the trail. He said that the forestry department had set up a tent village in the Siran Valley, which is on the way from Kund Medan village to the Kaghan Valley. It was said that the tent villages could be rented by the people in the area. So, this plan will both encourage tourism and give people jobs.

Faisalabad: In an announcement posted on the Rafi Group’s official Facebook page on July 15, the group warned the public about the fake housing schemes being run in Faisalabad under their name.

The group said that the Green Palms housing project in Gwadar and the ongoing residential and commercial construction in Lahore are the only projects they are working on. Rafi Group has made it clear that it does not run or sponsor any projects in other cities in the United States. The warning said they know a group of local dealers in Faisalabad are using a similar brand name to advertise and sell a housing development.

The company said they had nothing to do with the plan being pushed in Faisalabad by a company called “Rafi Developers.” So, people are told very clearly that they should invest in these schemes at their own risk. Any loss of money caused by such a plan will only hurt the investors. Also, the local dealers in question have already been sued for using the Rafi Group brand. Because of this, the court sent notices to the dealers and told them they couldn’t use the company’s name.
