ADP has approved new schemes in Rawalpindi

According to news reports from July 4 in Rawalpindi, the government has approved 711 projects totaling PKR 297 billion as part of the Annual Development Schemes (ADP).

A total of 711 plans have recently received approval from Rawalpindi Division, with a focus on bolstering infrastructure and healthcare services. The 606 continuing efforts and 105 new projects that make up these plans total about 37.5 percent of the budgetary allotment.

The projects’ details are as follows:

  1. Building a 138-kilometer route connecting Lower Topa Murree and Chowk Pindori for tourists
  2. Building four bypasses in the Rawalpindi Division will reduce traffic and enhance commuter travel to Murree.
  3. To improve connectivity and encourage tourism in the region, PKR 4,187 million has been given.
  4. Through the Mother and Child Care Hospital project, PKR 5.32 billion will be used to improve maternity and child healthcare services.

The Institute of Urology and Kidney Transplantation, emphasising specialised medical services for renal health, has been allocated PKR 5.166 billion for construction.
