According to the source, this effort, which has been called a watershed moment in the country’s desire for budgetary discipline, has a specific focus: locating all of the people who have been convicted in cases and have used up all available legal options.

According to media sources, the FBR has received approval from all legal forums, which is what motivated them to take such an aggressive approach. In light of this, the FBR recently sent clear instructions to its field offices calling for the swift collection of taxes from individuals who are presumed to be tax evaders.

FBR warns those caught up in the scheme that if they fail to provide the required paperwork within a week of receiving a tax notice, they risk rapid and severe legal action being taken against them. When infractions occur, the FBR may use its legal authority to auction off property to coerce the payment of back taxes.
