The CDA will repair the road between Rawal Chowk and Taramri Chowk

On September 2, news sources said that the Capital Development Authority (CDA) will fix up and widen Park Road from Rawal Chowk to Taramri Chowk.

The road will be 7.9 kilometers long and cost PKR 1.95 billion. Work on it will start in the third week of October. Captain (ret.) Usman Younis, who is in charge of the CDA, shared the news on his official Twitter account. He said that the project would take four months to finish and that it would make getting to and from Rawal Chowk and Taramri Chowk much easier.

He also said that the 7th Avenue project is now open to all kinds of traffic because the CDA has made it work. He said that the project was finished on time, even though it rained all the time and there was a COVID-19 pandemic. He thanked the people who worked on the project and the FWO for getting it done.

It’s important to know that the CDA has started a number of projects to improve traffic in the federal capital. These include signal-free corridors, flyovers, and underpasses. Sources say that the government wants to open the Rawal Chowk Flyover so that it can handle the growing number of cars on the roads.
