The CM of Punjab will take action against illegal construction in Murree.
News reports say that Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Hamza Shehbaz has asked the city government of Murree to make a report about illegal building construction and encroachment. He also told people to fix up tourist spots in the hill station.

Sources say that the CM visited many parts of the city, including the Tehsil Head Quarter (THQ) hospital, and that he was worried about the mushrooming of encroachments around the hospital while he was at a hill station. Also, at a meeting at the government house in Murree, CM Hamza asked the deputy commissioner (DC) and other officials to write a report about setting up a water treatment and recycling facility to deal with the lack of water in the city.

The following ideas were approved during the meeting:

It didn’t take long to fix up the Allama Iqbal Library.
Pedestrian streets will be built, Pindi Point will be fixed up, link roads will be fixed up and made prettier, and street lights will be put up.
The RDA no longer has control over the Tehsils of Murree, Taxila, and Kotli Satian.

At the bus stop, computers with tourist and traffic information have been set up.
Both the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) and the tourism department have set up emergency control rooms.
