According to the source, the Gwadar International Airport plays a pivotal role in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), highlighting the countries’ joint efforts to bolster regional economies and strengthen infrastructure through improved communication networks.
This 18-square-kilometer airport project, which has a staggering cost of USD 230 million, has been generously funded by China. It is located 26 kilometres east of Gwadar city and is anticipated to become the second-largest airport in Pakistan, providing countless opportunities for business investors and intrepid travellers seeking to explore the region’s potential.

The first construction work on this majestic airport began in October 2019, and it has successfully passed the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority’s safety inspections.
The official completion date for the airport is March 2023, and everyone involved is working assiduously to meet this deadline. Once operational, the Gwadar International Airport will serve as a vital gateway for trade and tourism, making the CPEC initiative more accessible and promising for everyone.
