CDA is encouraged to expeditiously develop G-9 Markaz

Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, the president of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), has asked the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to put the development of Sector G-9 Markaz at the top of their list so that there will be more business opportunities. News sources reported this on January 18.

The president asked the government agency to start fixing up the roads, building a parking lot, fixing up the sidewalks, putting in a filtration plant, and fixing up the street lights. Ahsan pointed out that the G-9 Markaz, which is one of the most important markets in Islamabad, is home to many well-known businesses that give many people jobs. He also said that the CDA should work on replacing the 40-year-old sewage system in the area, which isn’t enough to handle the growing number of people.

It’s important to know that, after the Blue Area, the G-9 market is one of the biggest ones. Recently, CDA announced a comprehensive zoning plan for the city. This plan will make land in the city more orderly and specify which areas are residential and which are commercial.
