Instead of BuP, CDA will pay cash for the purchased land

Islamabad: According to news reported in the top data, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) is altering its compensation strategy by providing cash for purchased land rather than built-up property (BuP).

According to the information, historical disputes and delays in land acquisitions led to the decision to abandon the distribution of plots in lieu of monetary compensation. CDA Chairman Anwarul Haq confirmed this change in policy in an interview. He emphasized that the new strategy would only be used for future acquisitions and that it would be presented to the board for final approval.

In addition, the development specifies that the civic organization would make sure that, for the sake of efficiency and openness, both land and BuP awards be announced concurrently, preventing any delays in land acquisitions.
