KP CM inaugurates massive construction projects in Kohat and Hangu

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan opened a number of recently finished development projects and broke ground on uplift projects worth PKR 13 billion in the Kohat and Hangu districts on December 8.

CM Khan started a big project to improve the sewer system and build a new sewerage treatment plant in Kotal Township (KDA). The project will be done as part of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cities Improvement Project (KPCIP). It is expected to cost PKR 6.73 billion. It was said that as part of the project, a new sewage network will be built that is 75 kilometres long. When finished, the project will add 3.0 million gallons per day to the amount of water that can be treated.

Also, the minister laid the cornerstone for the Water Supply System in Kohat, which will be fixed up and made better at an estimated cost of PKR 4.65 billion. During the visit, the chief minister went to the groundbreaking ceremony for the Business Development and Community Center for Women in Kohat and the recreational park and other facilities in Sports Complex. It was said that both projects will be finished with the help of KPCIP.

In the same way, CM Khan opened the Civil Hospital in Doaba in Hangu. This hospital cost PKR 154.4 million to build. The minister opened two new Rescue 1122 stations in Thall and a new District Jail in Hangu.
