The major objective of this operation is to retake custody of very valuable stores that have been illegally occupied for a long period of time. The LDA made a triumphant announcement on August 9 that 23 stores that had been illegally occupied for a long time had been reclaimed.

Teams from Town Planning IV were carefully placed around different areas of Lahore to carry out the operation. A number of illegal business buildings and an unfinished commercial plaza were among the targets.

Additional DG Housing Captain Shahmeer Iqbal (ret.) provided decisive advice to the operation, which was led by Director Housing II Wasim Zafar and Director Town Planning IV Ali Nusrat. Director General of the Land and Development Authority Muhammad Ali Randhawa made it clear where the government stands on encroachments.

Clearly opposed to any intrusion on public property, he pledged severe consequences for those responsible.
