NAB recovers Rs1 billion in the Eden housing fraud. In a positive step, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has recovered Rs1 billion from the Eden Housing Projects Scam, which the bureau uncovered.

Only a few days ago, Dr. Amjad, the society’s owner and the primary suspect in the case, passed away, leaving over 11,800 victims’ funds in limbo. Many people showed up at his funeral to hold a protest and demand compensation for their losses. NAB has taken this action in order to collect this money from the Eden Housing Project.

According to reports, the National Accountability Bureau was successful in recovering Rs1 billion from Eden management. The National Accountability Bureau has taken this action to recover this sum from the Eden Housing Project.

The anti-graft organization had frozen the assets of the society.

Dr. Amjad and the other key suspects in the case had fled to another country. They had returned a short while before. A court of law had granted Dr. Amjad bail.

The discussions with the lead suspect and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) were still ongoing to retrieve the public funds. He, on the other hand, passed gone. The National Accountability Bureau has taken this action to recover this sum from the Eden Housing Project.

While the Eden government had offered a Rs15 billion plea bargain, it was rejected by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
