Islamabad: During a meeting at Aiwan-e-Sadr, President Asif Ali Zardari underscored the lasting relationship between Pakistan and China in the presence of his delegation and the Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), Mr. Luo Zhaohui.

In Islamabad, the two countries maintained an enduring relationship. As per news sources, Zardari emphasized the critical nature of strengthening this relationship, specifically in commerce, economy, agriculture, cultural interchange, and cultivating interpersonal bonds.

He emphasized the strategic importance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and guaranteed complete backing to ensure its expeditious realization, reiterating Pakistan’s unwavering dedication to the initiative.

The speaker emphasized the critical significance of Gwadar Port in facilitating the economical transportation of commodities to China and bolstering regional connectivity. Zardari put forth collaborative training initiatives to satisfy China’s need for a proficient workforce.
President Zardari was briefed by Mr. Luo Zhaohui on the socio-economic contributions of CIDCA to Pakistan, with a specific focus on its health, education, and disaster relief endeavors.

He espoused the enhancement of agricultural and tourism cooperation between the two countries. Zardari commended China for its crucial contribution and assistance in fostering Pakistan’s economic advancement.
