Sindh is repairing roads and working on GIS mapping to tax property

Karachi: According to news reported in the top newspaper on October 25, Manzoor Ali Sheikh, the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) for the Local Government department, disclosed that the Sindh government is actively putting Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping into practice as part of its efforts to collect property taxes and fix roads.

At a meeting with a World Bank (WB) delegation, which was called to evaluate the state of many projects funded by the global financial organization, the ACS provided this information.

The ACS expressed his gratitude to the World Bank during the conference for its crucial support of the development initiatives carried out in the province. He emphasized the vital role the World Bank plays in carrying out the ongoing development projects in Karachi and the importance of maintaining merit and transparency in all current and future endeavors.
