The news source disclosed that numerous complaints regarding double compensation and exemption with LDA were pending. The examination of double compensation/exemption will centre on the Johar Town exchange plots. The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) requested the Chief Town Planner (CTP) to provide a record of all land transactions between 2018 and 2023.

In addition, the LDA formed a committee to examine the files that were being processed but were not on the 2017 inventory list. According to its Terms of Reference (TORs), the committee will examine, scrutinize, and investigate the contents of each file. In the event of a plot exchange, the committee will examine the status of the previous plot and verify its exchange proceedings and possession status on-site.

In addition, the committee will be responsible for analysing the One Window Cell application initiation procedure and its comprehensive history. In addition to cross-checking previous correspondences and transactions, the committee will compare scanned records of possession registrations. It will conduct a thorough examination of the files and make recommendations regarding their inclusion in the Inventory List based on their determined sanctity.
