PHA RWP constructed underground rain harvesting tanks. The Rawalpindi Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) is committed to establishing five underground rain harvesting tanks to protect the city’s groundwater.

This project will be implemented as part of Rawalpindi’s Annual Development Program (ADP) in five parks. The five locations for the project, according to sources, are Allama Iqbal Park, Rawal Park, Pothohar Park, Liaquat Bagh, and Commercial Market Children’s Park. The Public Health Agency has already developed Project Concept -1. (PC-1). PHA RWP developed underground rainwater harvesting systems.

Underground water storage tanks were initially constructed in Lahore to improve rainwater management and to use the water for plantation and park irrigation. The project will begin in March and is expected to last three months. According to the source, the project’s objective is to conserve rainwater for future plantation and horticulture activities in the city. Underground rain harvesting tanks were constructed by PHA RWP.
