RDA affirms only state-owned enterprises can bid for RRR development

RDA affirms only state-owned enterprises can bid for RRR development. It is reported that Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has decided to award the Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) development contract to only government-owned construction firms. The 23 billion PKR project will go to Frontier Works Organization, National Logistics Cell, or National Construction (NC).

According to an RDA official, the 38-kilometre project will be completed two years. According to NESPAK, the major road infrastructure will run from Bandh to Thaliyan, providing a secondary route to industrial zones. It has already been written to FWO and NLC management demanding that they submit their proposals, along with certifications and portfolios of previous work, to be considered for the final list of selected firms. The RDA confirms that only state-owned entities are eligible to compete on RRR development.
