Pakistan and Germany sign a €129 million financial cooperation agreement

Pakistan and Germany sign a €129 million financial cooperation agreement for the development of multiple projects.

Minister for Economic Affairs Omar Ayub Khan attended the deal signing ceremony.

They will establish Hydropower, renewable energy & solar energy, digital governance, and startup promotion projects. They reached the deal following two rounds of negotiations between the two countries.

Mian Asad Hayauddin, Secretary of Economic Affairs Division, represented Pakistan, while Gisela Hammerschmidt, Commissioner for Asia at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, represented Germany. Additionally, members of the group represented the Foreign Office, KfW, GIZ, and the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR). Pakistan and Germany sign a €129 million financial cooperation agreement.
